Restoration of the Anton Walter forte-piano The forte-piano by Anton Walter (made ca. 1790 in Vienna) from the Rector's Palace of the Cultural Historical Museum in Dubrovnik is being restored on the initiative of Hrvoje Jugovic, in co-operation with the Croatian Cultural Ministery. It is being restored by Robert Brown at his workshop in Oberndorf near Salzburg. Siemens Croatia is paying for the cost of the restoration. There are only 22 forte-pianos made by Walter between 1780 and 1800 still in working condition (eg. the Mozart piano in Mozart's birthplace in Salzburg) Links: Siemens Croatia Walter-piano in the Rector's Palace |
